My Story

Join team Working Families on Tuesday 18 June as we celebrate the 20th anniversary of the London Legal Walk! It's a 10k challenge like no other. With an iconic route and electric atmosphere, you'll proudly walk alongside the Lady Chief Justice and thousands of people coming together to support frontline free legal advice agencies.

By joining our team, every penny you raise will help to fund Working Families' free legal advice service - a lifeline for working parents and carers with nowhere else to turn.

"I kept my job"
"I felt I was no longer on my own"
"I was able to take time off to care for my family"

"I understood my rights and felt empowered knowing how to act on them"

A personal fundraising target of £65 could help us provide free legal advice to a parent or carer who has been discriminated against due to having childcare responsibilities.

Your generosity has a profound effect - not only to the parent or carer accessing our helpline, but to their family and the wider community. Through listening to, and supporting, working parents and carers, we are able to use this insight to work practically with employers and policymakers to create better outcomes for families.

So, put on your walking shoes and go the extra mile this June! Together, we can remove the barriers faced by the UK's 17.5 million working parents and carers.

Our team is: Sarah Murray, Mary Brown, Anna Letouze
