Waltham Forest Migrant Action
My Story
Thank you for supporting our team in fundraising for the 20th anniversary of the London Legal Walk. We will be walking 10km on Tuesday 18th June to support the most vulnerable in society to access life changing free legal advice.
Our team is: Joseph (with more to follow)
We are walking with the Lady Chief Justice and thousands of lawyers to raise funds for Waltham Forest Migrant Action. Our mission is to provide support and advice for local migrants and refugees in Waltham Forest. We also advocate and campaign for the rights of migrants and refugees in the UK.
Waltham Forest Migrant Action was formed in 2013 with three aims:
- To support migrants in Waltham Forest
- To promote integration between migrants and non-migrants
- To challenge negativity about migrants in political and media discourse
We work towards these aims through our support centre, our campaigning and community centre, and events.
As life becomes ever more difficult for migrants across London, the UK and the world, we want to step up our work and fight back in solidarity and support of fellow human beings who are often suffering in the most extreme of circumstances.
With the ongoing cost of living crisis, your support is needed more than ever. Please sponsor our walkers as generously as you are able.
Many thanks for your support.
