My Story

SLRA's London Legal Walk Team will be taking on 10km through Central London on Tuesday 9 June!

Our team this year is made up of Beth, Celia, Cynthia, Denison, Elsie, Fran, Greta, Heather, Polly, Nori, Spen, Rebeka, Thea and Vero!

Every pound you donate here will go towards SLRA's work.

At SLRA we believe that everyone deserves access to justice and the opportunity to build safe, stable lives in the community

Right now, harsh, complex and discriminatory immigration policies are leaving more people without legal status and cut off from basic services. Prohibited from working and unable to access the welfare safety net in a crisis, many face homelessness and destitution. Those seeking advice often can’t find it. The effects of past trauma are compounded by discrimination, isolation and uncertainty about their futures.

For over 30 years, we at SLRA have been standing alongside refugees, asylum seekers and migrants in crisis in South London, offering:

  • specialist immigration advice and casework support
  • hot meals, emergency foodbank support & small hardship grants
  • activities that promote wellbeing
  • opportunities to develop community organising skills and lead on campaigns to change the policies and practices that most affect those in the community.

Every step we take and every penny you donate brings us closer to a community where justice and support are accessible to all!

Please sponsor our walkers as generously as you are able.
