My Story

Thank you for supporting our team in fundraising for the 20th anniversary of the London Legal Walk. We will be walking 10km on Tuesday 18th June to support the most vulnerable in society to access life changing free legal advice.

Our team so far is: Richard Wilson KC, Wilson Leung, Matthew Innes, Ramyaa Veerabathran, Dan Wheeler, Amber Feltwell, Felicity Wall, Ellé Penson, Lucy Slattery, David Ruben, Sarah Fletcher

We are walking with the Lady Chief Justice and thousands of lawyers to raise funds for the London Legal Support Trust (LLST) and South Westminster Legal Advice Centre.

The funding gap for legal advice has nearly doubled to over £30 million in the UK and free legal advice providers are at breaking point with the growing need from their clients. Many people cannot afford legal help and without more being done, they will go without justice when they need it most.

The London Legal Support Trust is an independent charity that raises funds for free legal advice services in London and the South East. They support free legal advice centres across London and the South East through the provision of grant funding, supporting sector infrastructure, helping agencies reduce costs and save money via pro bono or discounted schemes.

The South Westminster Legal Advice Centre advises clients as to their legal rights both when a dispute has arisen, and in non-contentious matters. The main legal problems addressed include those relating to housing and landlord and tenant (including relating to leases), employment, divorce, contracts, consumer issues, bankruptcy, wills and succession, personal injury claims and, to a much lesser extent, basic advice on criminal law.

With the ongoing cost of living crisis, your support is needed more than ever. Please sponsor our walkers as generously as you are able.

Many thanks for your support.
