My Story

Thank you for supporting our team in fundraising for the 2026 London Legal Walk. We will be taking on 10km on Tuesday 9th June to help those in need gain access to life-changing free immigration advice.

Our team is: Nana Esi, Brian Mitchell, Georgina Perry, Pascal Boidin, Thierry, Zoe Leonard, Stephanie Gabillon, Clovis Gwencho

We will be walking with the Lady Chief Justice and thousands of lawyers to raise funds for the London Legal Support Trust (LLST). Last year, the 21st London Legal Walk raised over £1,000,000, which enabled thousands of people to access justice.

Many people across the UK cannot afford legal help and are at risk of going without support when they need it most.

By taking part in this walk our team are raising funds for the London Legal Support Trust, who are organising the event. The Trust have pledged to donate 100% of the funds we raise for them, so every pound you donate in support will mean a pound going to Notre Dame Refugee Centre.

Based in Leicester Square, at the heart of Central London, Notre Dame Refugee Centre has been working with refugees and asylum seekers for 30 years, thanks to the generosity of those who share our aims and beliefs.

Originally, the charity was established by Notre Dame de France in 1996.  It was then registered as an independent charity in 2007.  We are a Charitable Incorporated Organisation, registered charity no. 1177990.

We aim to provide expert advice, support and casework on immigration, welfare and housing issues for refugees and asylum seekers from across London.  Many of our visitors are French-speaking, but we have welcomed visitors from more than 90 different countries over the five past years with speakers of many other languages.

We are available for refugees and asylum seekers regardless of nationality, age, gender, sexual orientation or faith.  We continue to offer services in both French and English.

Every step we take and every penny we raise brings us closer to a community where justice and support are accessible to all.

Please sponsor our walkers as generously as you are able, and please remember to tick the gift aid box on the sponsorship form.

Many thanks for your support.
