We are walking with the Lord Chief Justice and thousands of lawyers to raise funds for Notre Dame Refugee Centre.
Notre Dame Refugee Centre has been working with refugees and asylum seekers for more than 25 years, thanks to the generosity of those who share our aims and beliefs. The charity was originally set up by Notre Dame de France in 1996, in response to changes in asylum and immigration laws that year. Eleven years later, it was registered as an independent charity and in 2018 registered as Incorporated Charitable Organisation (ICO).
Notre Dame Refugee Centre is registered with the Office of the Immigration Services Commission (OISC) at Level 3 and we hold an Advice Quality Standard mark. Our small team of 4 OISC qualified staff, Director, Volunteer & Events Co-ordinator and Administrator provide a free advice and wraparound capacity building services to Asylum Seekers and Refugees who are destitute with the help of 40 volunteers.
Like many of our supporters, many of our visitors are French speaking, but we have welcomed visitors from 98 different countries over the five past years. We remain a bilingual English and French speaking refugee centre.
Thanks to the commitment of our staff, volunteers and donors, we offer emotional and practical support to people who often find doors closed to them elsewhere.
Please sponsor our walkers as generously as you are able.
Many thanks for your support.
