Support Migrants Organise on the London Legal Walk 2024

My Story

Thank you for visiting Migrants Organise fundraising page for the 20th anniversary of the London Legal Walk!

Can you help us reach our £5,000 target?

Once again our members, volunteers, staff and supporters will be taking on 10k on Tuesday 18th June to raise vital funds for Migrants Organise.

All monies raised will pay for specialist legal, medical or other expert reports that our members cannot pay for, but that they need to progress their immigration case and right to remain in the UK:

"We would not have succeeded in the appeal without the support of Migrants Organise, in particular the funding of the expert evidence. It was essential and very significantly strengthened the case in key aspects, which led the Tribunal directly to its conclusions. It is fair to say that Migrants Organise funding was decisive in her winning the appeal." Letter From Barrister who acted pro bono.

Our team is: Erica, Francesca, Heike, Brian, Frances

We are delighted that once again Bristows will be donating 50% of what they raise to Migrants Organise. Thank you to all involved! The walk will also once again launch the start of our Summer Resilience Festival.

Please sponsor our walkers as generously as you can and share this page with your friends and family.

Migrants Organise provides a platform for refugees and migrants to organise for power, dignity and justice. We combine advice and support for individuals subjected to hostile immigration policies with grassroots organising, advocacy, research and campaigning to dismantle structural racism.

While we organise to change unjust systems, we need to be there for people currently subjected to the Hostile Environment. In addition to the maze of complex immigration rules, immigration enforcement has spread into everyday experiences. Basic tasks like opening a bank account or renting a place to live have become impossible for many migrants.

People fleeing from war and displacement face further insecurity and trauma in the UK. Cuts to legal aid, lack of effective representation, indefinite detention, unjust welfare systems and expansion of the immigration controls into public services including the NHS contribute to growing destitution, poor mental health and isolation.
