About

Thank you for being part of London Legal Giving Week, and for the tremendous difference you are making to the lives of the most vulnerable in our community.

The cost of living crisis is widening the poverty and justice gap further, and many are being faced with the impossible decisions between keeping warm and feeding themselves.

No one chooses to live in poverty, yet 14.5 million people in the UK do.

The 1 in 5 of us currently living in poverty cannot afford legal representation without making an impossible choice between our human right to justice and supporting the basic needs of our family

By donating the cost of your lunch, or heating your home (or office), you will be helping to keep the lights on and doors open for free legal advice agencies that give a lifeline to people by helping to reduce debt, poverty and homelessness

How does your fundraising help?

£10 could help train a volunteer to assist clients with form filling
£25 covers the cost of organising a pro-bono legal advice appointment
£50 could help someone with much needed advice and advocacy around benefits and housing
£100 helps someone challenge an incorrect eviction order
£250 could keep a vital advice phone line open for a week, ensuring hundreds of people can get the legal support they need
