My Story

Thank you for supporting our team in fundraising for the 2026 London Legal Walk. We will be taking on 10km on Tuesday 9 June to help those in need gain access to life-changing free legal advice.

Our team is: David Abbott, Muhammad Tamur Majeed, Marvia Bernard-Borrell, Matthew Bird, Nicholas Sequeiros-Engel, Hadi Khan, Larni Rose, Arya.

We will be walking with the Lady Chief Justice and thousands of lawyers. Last year, the 21st London Legal Walk raised over £1,000,000, which enabled thousands of people to access justice.

Many people across the UK cannot afford legal help and are at risk of going without justice when they need it most. One fifth (21%) of the UK population live in poverty - equivalent to around 14 million people.

By taking part in this walk our team is raising funds for the London Legal Support Trust, who are organising the event. The Trust have pledged to donate 100% of the funds we raise for them, so every pound you donate in support will mean a pound going to The Free Representation Unit (FRU).

The Free Representation Unit (FRU) is a charity that provides legal advice, case preparation and advocacy in employment, social security, and some criminal injury compensation tribunal cases. Our clients could not otherwise obtain legal support for want of personal means and public funding. To provide our service we train volunteer law students and legal professionals in the early stages of their career in the skills required to give confident and competent support for the rights of others.

Every step we take and every penny we raise brings us closer to a community where justice and support are accessible to all.

Please sponsor our walkers as generously as you are able.

Many thanks for your support.
