My Story

Thank you for supporting our Great Legal Bake. 

As part of Pro Bono Week 2024 and Faculty of Advocate's commitment to promote access to justice, the Free Legal Services Unit is supporting the Great Legal Bake this year which is hosted by London Legal Support Trust and Access to Justice Foundation. 

Over 13.4 million people live in poverty in the UK and advice providers are at breaking point with the growing need from their clients. Many people cannot currently afford legal help and we believe everybody should be able to receive legal advice when they need it most. 

By supporting the bake, you will be raising vital funds to ensure access to justice for some of our community's marginalised people. Receiving good legal advice at the right time can make a huge difference to people's lives reducing their chances of facing debt, poverty, homelessness, exploitation and discrimination.

Our Pro bono service (FLSU) has been a feature of the Faculty down the centuries and is now provided by volunteer advocates through the Faculty’s Free Legal Services Unit. To help support this on going need for the those less fortunate to access legal advice and justice, please sponsor our bakers as generously as you are able.
