My Story

Thank you for supporting our team for the Chichester Legal Walk 2026.

Our team is: Edward Cooke, Victoria Maxwell, Hannah Rogers, Jelena Korobkova and Daisy Hofgartner.

We are taking on a sponsored 10km walk on Tuesday 14th July to raise funds for advice charities in Chichester.

In 2025, 7.1 million low-income households (60%) were going without essential goods, including 4.1 million experiencing food insecurity in the previous 30 days. Further, 4.4 million low- income households (37%) were behind on at least one bill or credit commitment in May 2025

With the continuous rise in the cost of living, your support has become ever more vital. The money raised by our Walk is essential to supporting our local advice charities so that they can continue providing their life-changing free legal advice services to people like Nancy.

Nancy's Story

Nancy, a pensioner living alone, was struggling to make ends meet, resorting to selling her belongings to survive. Her increased anxiety and worsening health condition left her feeling hopeless. The team at her local Citizens Advice stepped in to offer her guidance. They arranged a home visit, referred her to their Income Increase Service to explore benefits, and helped her apply for the Household Support Fund. Their energy team added her to the Priority Services Register, helping her reduce her water bill by 45%.

With their unwavering support, Nancy regained stability, dignity, and peace of mind during one of her most challenging times.

Every step we take and every penny we raise brings us closer to a community where justice and support are accessible to all.

Please sponsor our walkers as generously as you are able.

Many thanks for your support.
