My Story

Thank you for supporting our team in fundraising for the 2026 London Legal Walk. We will be walking 10km through London on Tuesday 9 June to help those in need gain access to life-changing free legal advice.

Our team is: Emma Martin, Alison Chandler, Tim Cave, Jodie Ann Cox, Akeem Ogunsola, Liza, Shola Watson, Clinton, Sally Bland, Natalie Fairbanks, Netsai, Becky, Susan Hall, Tia Palmer, Esther, Taiwo Ogunbiyi, Natalie, Bosco, Lucas Roberts, Jepchumba Boinnet.

By taking part in this walk our team is raising funds for the London Legal Support Trust, who are organising the event. The Trust have pledged to donate 100% of the funds we raise for them, so every pound you donate in support will mean a pound going to East Greenwich Legal Advice Clinic (EGLAC).

EGLAC is a pro bono (free) legal advice service available to people living or based in an SE postcode who are unable to afford legal advice elsewhere.

EGLAC is registered with the Charity Commission (RCN 1197038) and is a signatory to the Law Society’s pro bono Charter. We strive to achieve best practice in our legal advice and assistance for individuals and organisations who cannot afford access to justice.

EGLAC was launched as part of National Pro Bono Week in November 2017. We provide advice on various areas of law, including Family, Welfare Benefits, Property, Wills and Probate, Civil Litigation, Housing and Contract subject to the availability of suitable volunteer advisers.

One of our clients recently said: "I just wanted to let you know that [the adviser] was really helpful and kind. I truly appreciate the time he took to speak with me and all the support provided by him and the clinic."

Every step we take and every penny we raise brings us closer to a community where justice and support are accessible to all.

Please sponsor our walkers as generously as you are able.

Many thanks for your support.
