Detention Action 2024

My Story

Thank you for supporting our team in fundraising for the 20th anniversary of the London Legal Walk. We will be walking 10km on Tuesday 18th June to support refugees and migrants to access life-changing free legal advice.

Our team is: Sydney, Sumrah, Mona Alya, Laura, Alla, Giulia and James!

We are walking with the Lady Chief Justice and thousands of lawyers who are raising funds for legal advice centres.

Our team is raising funds for Detention Action. We support and campaign alongside those impacted by immigration detention for a more just, equitable, and humane immigration system.

Immigration law is extremely complex, leaving people in detention struggling to navigate the system on their own. Without reliable and qualified legal representation, they may spend more time locked away and suffer greater harm to their health and well-being. They are also left at greater risk of being unjustly deported from the UK.

Every day, Detention Action's Casework Team supports people in immigration detention to stand up for their rights. We connect people to reliable and qualified legal support to help them regain their freedom and resolve their immigration cases.

By bridging the gap in access to justice, we can make sure people in detention have a fairer chance to get the vital legal advice they need.

Thank you so much for your support!
