Community Language Support Services

My Story

Thank you for supporting our team in fundraising for the 20th anniversary of the London Legal Walk. We will be walking 10km on Tuesday 18th June to support the most vulnerable in society to access life changing free legal advice.

Our team is: Zibiah, Wezenet

We are walking with the Lady Chief Justice and thousands of lawyers to raise funds for Community Language Support Services (CLSS). CLSS assists speakers of community languages (clients) with limited English language skills to communicate with local organisations and people.

We mainly work with black minority ethnic refugee communities mainly those from East Africa and other Arabic speaking communities in Islington and neighbouring London boroughs.

Our vision is to transform the lives of people in the community so that they overcome the barriers that stand in their way to living healthy lives, and then see them rebuild their self-confidence and develop the required skills to flourish and gain greater independence.

Our mission is helping those who are most in need, those who are vulnerable, disadvantaged and isolated within the local East African and any other Arabic speaking communities and supporting them to improve the quality of their lives.

With the ongoing cost of living crisis, your support is needed more than ever. Please sponsor our walkers as generously as you are able.

Many thanks for your support.
