My Story

Why we're walking

We're joining the London Legal Walk on Tuesday 18 June, walking 10km to support the people who need us most. The money we raise will go into our crisis fund, which supports people facing immediate risk of hardship because they can't afford food, electricity or other essentials.

About us

We’re an independent charity that provides information, advice and support. We also work to improve the policies and practices that affect people’s lives.

We help people get the support they need and enable them to manage their lives better in times of crisis. Life is complicated and things can go wrong for all of us. Our free, impartial advice is crucial and highly valuable to individuals, Wandsworth Council, government and society as a whole.

We’re a member of Citizens Advice, a network of over 300 advice service charities in over 3,300 locations in England and Wales. Citizens Advice sets monitors our quality of advice and management and we benefit from their training, information systems and support.
