My Story

Thank you for supporting our team for the Reading Legal Walk 2024.

Our team is: Tina Stevenson, Sean Stevenson, Ian Curtis-Nye, Caroline Jones, Jenny, Faye Hamilton-Martin, Andrew Edger, Bethan...more details to follow....

We are taking on a sponsored 10km walk on Tuesday 17th September to raise funds for Citizens Advice Reading which has been helping the people of Reading for 85 years!!!

Citizens Advice Reading is an independent, voluntary organisation and a registered charity and our team of paid and volunteer advisors shares a huge commitment to making a positive difference for anyone who needs our help. This can be lifechanging for individuals and wider communities as we also campaign on important issues.

We provide specialist advice to help people with a wide range of problems including benefits, debt and money and utilities.

Working in partnership, we also provide:

  • a welfare benefits service to cancer patients who are receiving treatment, and their families

  • a debt advice service to help people living in Reading Borough

  • a telephone helpline and webchat service to help make a new Universal Credit claim

  • a specialist energy advice service to help people make it through the cost of living crisis

Please sponsor our walkers as generously as you are able.

Many thanks for your support.
