My Story

Thank you for supporting our team for the Chichester Legal Walk 2026.

Our team is: Luca Badioli, Melanie Neville, Jazmyn Stevens, Heather Wilson, June Tung, Maria James and Amber Dansoh.

We are taking on a sponsored 10km walk on Tuesday 14th July to raise funds for advice charities in Chichester.

In 2025, 7.1 million low-income households (60%) were going without essential goods, including 4.1 million experiencing food insecurity in the previous 30 days. Further, 4.4 million low- income households (37%) were behind on at least one bill or credit commitment in May 2025

With the continuous rise in the cost of living, your support has become ever more vital. The money raised by our Walk is essential to supporting our local advice charities so that they can continue providing their life-changing free legal advice services to people like David.

David's Story

David approached their local Citizens Advice after falling behind on their energy bills and reaching a point where they could no longer afford food or other essentials. Their home was cold, damp, and affected by mould. Living in these conditions had already had a serious impact on their health.

The dedicated adviser offered immediate relief with an emergency food voucher, ensuring access to meals while exploring longer-term solutions.

Through a full benefits check, additional income was identified, and budgeting support helped regain control of his finances. David also received support from HSF grant to cover ongoing energy costs, giving him the means to heat his home safely again.

With energy costs covered and additional income eligibility discussed, David was finally able to heat his home, which helped to reduce the damp and mould that had been causing health concerns.

The immediate crisis was resolved, and the longer-term support helped stabilise the situation and improve living conditions.

Every step we take and every penny we raise brings us closer to a community where justice and support are accessible to all.

Please sponsor our walkers as generously as you are able.

Many thanks for your support.
