My Story

Thank you for supporting our team for the 2024 Tunbridge Wells Legal Walk.

Our team is: Hannah Found, Tristan Alder, Michael Oduwole, Rachel Moore, Steph Keifer, Enys Coggles & Preeti Sanghera.

With our head office being in Pembury, we are excited to be taking on a sponsored 10km walk around Tunbridge Wells on Wednesday 25th September to raise funds for Citizens Advice in North & West Kent. 

At the end of 2023, 4 million families (34% of all those on low incomes) were sitting on debts used explicitly to help pay for food, housing costs and other household bills.

In these challenging times, our efforts in fundraising are crucial. The funds we raise together will provide a lifeline for those grappling with financial crises, much like Tobi.

Tobi's Story:

Tobi sought assistance from a free legal advice agency in Tunbridge Wells due to financial hardships while relying on Universal Credit and Council Tax Reduction benefits. Facing rent and electricity arrears, he was guided through the write-off of £1,650 in rent arrears. An Energy Trust grant application was submitted to alleviate £890 in electricity rent arrears. These interventions not only reduced Tobi's financial burdens but also contributed to improved stability and well-being, aligning with his health recommendations.

Our participation and fundraising efforts are invaluable to those who depend on the support of local legal advice agencies.
