My Story

Thank you for supporting our team in fundraising for the 2026 London Legal Walk. We will be taking on 10km on Tuesday 9 June to help those in need gain access to life-changing free legal advice.

Our team is: Adrian Yalland, Claire Stevenson, Clement Idowu, Emily Arnott, Jonathan Mole, Natalya Williams, Neil Sturman, Piers Walter, Rhys Allen, Seth Cox, Shabeena Azhar, Steve Wells, Tom Barclay, Harry Stallard.

We will be walking with the Lady Chief Justice and thousands of lawyers to raise funds for the London Legal Support Trust (LLST). Last year, the 21st London Legal Walk raised over £1,000,000, which enabled thousands of people to access justice.

Many people across the UK cannot afford legal help and are at risk of going without justice when they need it most. One fifth (21%) of the UK population live in poverty - equivalent to around 14 million people.

Funds raised on this page will also support Advocate and Free Representation Unit (FRU).

Advocate match members of the public who need free legal help with barristers who are willing to donate their time and expertise in deserving cases for those who are unable to obtain legal aid and cannot afford to pay it.

FRU help people who are not eligible for legal aid and cannot afford lawyers.

The London Legal Support Trust raises funds to help maintain free legal advice charities in London and the South East. Your donation supports the agencies' direct advice services, who will help people like Fatima:

Fatima, a mum living in London was struggling to provide adequate care for her son who is living with physical health issues. When her claim for Disability Living Allowance was refused, she lost hope.

Fatima turned to one of the centres we support, which helped her appeal the refusal, and then provided legal representation to Fatima and her son at a tribunal. This vital help resulted in over £100 extra each week for Fatima, as well as £9,000 in backdated payments, and £5,000 more in tax credits every year.

Thanks to their help, Fatima now has the stability to better accommodate her child's disabilities and continue providing the care he needs without living in fear of losing her income.

Every step we take and every penny we raise brings us closer to a community where justice and support are accessible to all.

Please sponsor our walkers as generously as you are able.

Many thanks for your support.
