My Story

Thank you for supporting our team in fundraising for the 20th anniversary of the London Legal Walk. We will be walking 10km on Tuesday 18th June to support the most vulnerable in society to access life changing free legal advice.

Our team so far is: Samantha Leek KC, Jonathan Dixey, Emma Price, Jonathan Landau, Jennifer Wright, Sarah Taylor, Aimee Riese, Edmund Garnett, Millie Wild, Martina Mazzon, Kerry McNair. 

We are walking with the Lady Chief Justice and thousands of lawyers to raise funds for the London Legal Support Trust (LLST), Advocate, and Free Representation Unit (FRU). Over the last 20 years, by walking together for justice, we have raised an incredible £10.5 million, helping hundreds of thousands of people access justice when they need it most. 

The London Legal Support Trust is an independent charity that raises funds for free legal advice services in London and the South East. They support free legal advice centres across London and the South East through the provision of grant funding, supporting sector infrastructure, helping agencies reduce costs and save money via pro bono or discounted schemes.

Advocate is is a charity that finds free legal assistance from volunteer barristers. They exist because committed barristers across England and Wales care about access to justice for everyone. Advocate matches members of the public who need free legal help with barristers who are willing to donate their time and expertise in deserving cases for those who are unable to obtain legal aid and cannot afford to pay.

Free Representation Unit helps people who are not eligible for legal aid and cannot afford lawyers. FRU's work is done by volunteers, mostly law students and legal professionals in the early stages of their career. All FRU's representatives are trained and supervised by their legal officers.
